CG&HC Named Official Show of Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association's Casino Committee

New York, March 15, 2006—Caribbean Gaming & Hospitality Conference (CG&HC) and its parent company, WestVille Enterprises, Inc., announced today that WestVille’s annual June conference was named “Official Conference and Trade Show” of the Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association’s (PRHTA) Casino Committee.

Bruce Smith, President of Westville Enterprises, said the agreement is the culmination of a long-standing relationship between the two organizations that will bring even greater visibility to casino and hospitality interests throughout Puerto Rico. “We have worked closely with PRHTA’s Casino Committee for quite some time,” said Smith. “This agreement formalizes our support for the important role the Committee plays, and the Association’s confidence in our show. We couldn’t be happier.”

The value of partnership

The PRHTA’s Casino Committee, led by industry veteran Carl Kortum, works aggressively to protect and promote the interests of members who operate casinos. Kortum regularly communicates Committee positions before Puerto Rico’s legislative assembly and governmental agencies as well as public corporations doing business on the island. He was also a speaker at last year’s CG&HC.

“Our committee plays a unique public role in representing Puerto Rico gaming interests,” says Kortum, a top executive with San Juan’s International Hospitality Enterprises. “So we are very optimistic about the synergies that are possible with Caribbean Gaming as our official conference and trade show.” Kortum added that over the years CG&HC has done an outstanding job of meeting the Association’s information needs. “We believe our new relationship is going to make us even more effective as the voice of the gaming industry in Puerto Rico.”

Clarisa Jiménez, Executive Director of the PRHTA, hailed the agreement as an example of partnership-building at its best. “Our sector committees work very hard to find the right marketing opportunities,” she said. “So we couldn’t be more pleased that our Casino Committee members now have an official conference and trade show of their own—one that is universally respected in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean.”

As a benefit of membership, all PRHTA members will receive a 25% discount on prevailing conference registration dates. WestVille’s Smith says this will represent a significant savings, especially for Early Bird registrants. “We are committed to making our new relationship work in every way, but especially for PRHTA members,” he adds.

Caribbean Gaming & Hospitality Conference 2006 will take place at the new Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, June 13-14. The two-day program will feature sessions on disaster management planning and implementation, business recovery planning, and new technologies for tracking and developing key customer relationships. Other seminar tracks will examine regulatory issues, security and surveillance, slot management, the forensic audit, and hospitality as entertainment.

“What makes our show unique,” says Smith, “is the focus our speakers and exhibitors place on the connection between gaming and hospitality. Carl and the Association’s Casino Committee are perfect partners because they already operate from this perspective.”

In addition to the morning conference program, Caribbean Gaming & Hospitality Conference 2006 will reserve afternoon hours for product display and business exchange in the Exhibit Hall, now in an expanded, spacious, convention center facility. Networking opportunities are available throughout the program, including refreshment and lunch breaks. All sessions will feature simultaneous English-Spanish translation.
